I find dentistry truly rewarding because it allows me to use artistic skills to help people by relieving pain and discomfort while creating healthy beautiful smiles. I love getting to know my patients while helping them achieve a better quality of life. I also take pride in helping anxious adults and children overcome their dental fears and feel at ease. Having spent a lot of time in the dental chair as a young child, I understand how important it is to be patient and gentle.

Over the years, the three most important things I’ve learned from my patients are to always be a good listener, be patient and sincere, and always go above and beyond expectations. I truly enjoy my role in our community.

My career in dentistry took a somewhat unique, but very rewarding path. I first earned my Bachelor of Science degree in Dental Hygiene from the University of New Haven, and worked as a dental hygienist for five years. At that time, I made the decision to pursue my career as a dentist and enrolled in New York University’s College of Dentistry. At NYU, I was inducted into the Omicron Kappa Upsilon dental honors society and graduated with my Doctorate of Dental Surgery in 2005. Since then, I have spent the last twenty years practicing dentistry in West Haven and Naugatuck.

Fortunately, dentistry continues to evolve offering me the opportunity to participate in various continuing education classes. These courses build understanding, and sharpen skills related to various restorative materials, dental implants, Invisalign and dental sleep medicine. It’s very important to stay aware of new procedures and products that can make a difference in patient care.

I have spent most of my life forming bonds in our local community. I was raised in West Haven, and now live in Orange with my husband Jeff, and my two children Jackson and Emilia. Our home would not be complete without our wonderful rescue dogs Penny and Augie. When I am away from the office, I enjoy gardening, hiking, restoring antique furniture and watching my children play hockey.

Anne has been a dental hygienist servicing New Haven and Fairfield counties for more than 20 years, largely specializing in Periodontal Hygiene. Over the years, Anne built many strong relationships with her patients through her top rate clinical skills and her open, engaging and enjoyable conversations!  

Anne is also Dr. Bureau's sister, which helps creates an authentic Family Dental environment in our office! 

Anira has been Dr. Bureau's trusted and beloved assistant for over 18 years! Her wealth of experience,  chairside manners and engaging personality allow patients to get comfortable through treatments that can often be stressful. She is truly an asset to the practice!

Alicia is new to Bureau Family Dental and brings over 5 years of experience to the practice. She is the first smiling face you see when you enter our office, and can assist with all scheduling and billing questions. She has been a great addition to the practice!
